Diversity Competence Day

WORKSHOP

Thursday, 11 October 2108
Lindholmen Conference Center
Gothenburg

Today’s more diverse workplaces add new challenges to cooperation and communication. Differences can enrich but also lead to miscommunication and conflict. This training program is perfect for learning how to create a productive environment in which everybody can contribute with their full potentials.

You can join us and enjoy a full day of training or choose to come to either Multicultural Teams in the morning or Conflict Management in the afternoon.

Thursday, 11 October 2018

Morning Session 09:00 – 12:00

MULTICULTURAL  TEAMS

In this morning session, we train:

  • Communication techniques to avoid misunderstandings.
  • Talk about cultural differences without stereotyping.
  • Assessing a team’s readiness to benefit from diversity.

It feels like a dream to be part of a diverse, creative, constructive and high performing team. However, team members often feel caught in misunderstandings and unexplained cultural clashes. In this morning session, we unpack the concept of workplace diversity and inclusion. We strengthen cooperation and relationship in the team through training skills needed to enjoy and make use of professional and cultural differences.

Afternoon Session 13.30 – 16:30

CONFLICT  MANAGEMENT

In this afternoon session, we train:

  • Mapping a conflict to understand the different parties.
  • Communication techniques for constructive conflict management.
  • Finding agreeable and new innovative solutions.

All humans are different and conflict is a natural part of any team. Unfortunately, conflicts can easily escalate into destructive behavior and damage work relationships. In this afternoon session, you capture realistic scenes of how a workplace conflict can be handled constructively. We train essential skills to see beyond right and wrong and to turn a conflict into an opportunity for learning and growth.

With the focus on skills, we promise an absolutely PowerPoint-free learning experience. Just lecturing is not enough to unleash human competence. Expect many interactive exercises that can be put into practice in your team.
